Description
The EVER project (European Volunteering for Environment and Resilience) is managed by France Volontaires. This mission will be based at the Espace Volontariat in Cameroon, in connection with the EVER and V-FORETS projects dedicated to forest preservation in Central Africa. Under the supervision of France Volontaires Cameroun, the volunteer will support communication, capitalization and the animation of networks of actors. Main tasks: 1-Communication and visibility of the EVER project: - Contribute to the communication strategy at national level. - Produce content (promotional, audiovisual and institutional media). - Promote the actions of volunteers and partners. 2 - Coordination of networks of players involved in forest preservation: - Identify players and structure their networking. - Develop a leadership and capacity-building approach.

CONDITIONS Monthly allowance: €791.67 to cover meals and everyday expenses Installation bonus: €300 to settle in comfortably Return bonus: €1,000 when you go back to your home country Travel & housing covered: your airfare, visa costs and accommodation are on us Personalized support: our local team will assist you in finding the perfect place to live
Training during the activity
All volunteers accompanied by France Volontaires will take part in a compulsory pre-departure training session at France Volontaires headquarters (Paris), which will validate their deployment, one month before departure.
Participant profile
IMPORTANT Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months. Language(s) required and level: Fluent French / English B1 minimum (read, written, spoken) Desired training(s): Master's degree in communications, international relations, project management or any other relevant field. Desired professional experience(s) / associates : Experience in communications Experience in project management / coordination Previous professional or volunteer experience in developing countries and/or with civil society organizations (CSOs) would be a plus; Willingness to commit to safeguarding sensitive ecosystems and helping communities adapt to climate change. Main skills and aptitudes required: Know-how : Knowledge of techniques for capitalizing on and animating associative networks. Skills in training and capacity-building for local stakeholders Good command of graphics and DTP tools (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Canvas) and Pack Office Skills in website management (publication of articles and documents) and management of social networks (Facebook, YouTube) Ability to create attractive content Photography and/or video editing skills welcome (as well as any creative tools that can enhance communication) Good writing and summarizing skills Personal skills : Ability to work in an intercultural context Good communication skills Good interpersonal skills Dynamic and proactive attitude Teamwork Autonomy Strong organizational ability to meet deadlines Ability to adapt to changing circumstances Other requirements : - Proper dress in a professional context - Correctness and politeness towards others - Respect for others - Respect for local traditions and cultures
