Regenerative Hospitality & Rural Living

Mundekulla Kurs Retreat Konferens AB

Långasjö, Suède

Description

This project invites young people to learn sustainability by living and working in a regenerative enterprise in rural Sweden. Mundekulla is an ecolodge and retreat centre rooted in EU values of democracy, inclusion, and solidarity, where land care, hospitality, and community life are combined into one system. The aim is to show how environmental, social, and economic sustainability work together in practice and to empower volunteers to learn by doing, take responsibility, and grow while contributing to society. Volunteers mainly work in one of five focus areas: Regenerative Gardening & Biodiversity, Circular Gastronomy & Food Conversion, Regenerative Hospitality & Customer Excellence, Eco-building & Maintenance, and Sustainable Forestry, guided by professionals. Through daily work, volunteers develop sustainability skills, teamwork, and an understanding of responsible entrepreneurship while contributing to SDGs 4, 12, 13, and 15.

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

Participants are housed either in the on-site volunteer building or in a house in neaby village, accessible via a 5-minute bike ride or 15-minute walk. Each participant is provided with a bicycle and helmet. The accommodations include private bedrooms, shared kitchens, and shared bathrooms. The closest train station is in Emmaboda, 12 km from Mundekulla. Participants can use company car to get to the train station when traveling for weekend or vacations. Mundekulla serves vegetarian/vegan food. Meals will be either served in restaurant or cooked by participants themselves.
