This kindergarten is based on an open concept, which means that the children themselves decide where they want to be and what they want to do. The volunteer is part of the team, who will take part in the meetings, planning, evaluations and team trainings. The own initiative, proposals of the activities are wished and will be supported. The activities in which the volunteer is involved: speaking with the children, playing with the children indoor, morning gathering, games in garden (with balls, role games, playing in the sandbox), excursions, days in the forest, home economics tasks (order in the group room, garderobe), taking part in the planning meetings, team meetings, specific activities (handicrafts, singing, gymnastics).
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
The volunteer will live in the beautiful city of Hammelburg in the volunteer flat with single room, shared kitchen and bathroom with two other volunteers. The volunteer will receive a German language course (once a week), food (333€) and pocket money (210€) as well as insurance and monthly train ticket all over Germany (as long as it gets).
Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
During the project, there are two seminars - On arrival training and Midterm meeting- organised by the German National Agency, both of them compulsory. It will be a chance to get to know volunteers doing their ESC project in other German cities and reflect on different topics.
Dalyvio profilis
We are looking for a volunteer (18-30 years old) who is motivated to work with children, open-minded and patience. The volunteer should bring to the institution her/his different skills, abilities, interests and personality. She/He should gather various experiences and be aware of her pedagogical skills and learn to be aware of her/his talents and to propose specific offers to the children. Also, she/he will have a chance to have contact with children of different ages.
