YOU CAN FIND THE FORM HERE: https://forms.gle/H3CwvnU1HjcXn3f87 Lebenshilfe gives people with intellectual disabilities, their relatives, experts, friends and sponsors the opportunity to become socially involved through their membership in the association and to actively advocate for the self-determined participation of people with disabilities. The volunteer will support a workshop for people with disabilities in the area of work and employment. The main tasks include light packaging activities together with the employees, as well as giving simple guidance and support during daily work processes. Depending on their strengths, the volunteer will work with a more independent group or with a group that needs more support, structure, and guidance. It is also possible to change groups during the placement to get to know different structures and working methods.
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
The volunteer lives in a single-bed room in a flat share with other volunteers in Leipzig. In the shared flat, residents must take care of the cleaning of the flat. Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
During the ESC: the volunteer receives a basic language training (no official language course), also other training needed to carry out agreed tasks and the volunteer attend the On-Arrival training and Mid-term seminar offered by the NA. In addition, there will be realised several project days towards topics of solidarity in Europe / participation / social projects for all ESC volunteers. Prior experience is not required, but enthusiasm for supporting others is essential Flexible and adaptable to various support tasks and group dynamics Excited to contribute to an inclusive society
