Are you interested in community work, youth engagement, and event planning? Join our Helsinki team to support the activities of Valo-Valmennusyhdistys, a national association working to improve access to learning, employment, wellbeing, and participation in society. Our services include employment and rehabilitation, education, housing, and youth work. As a volunteer, you’ll help plan and develop civic and youth activities, assist with communication tasks like updating social media, taking part in organizing events, and assisting in the international activities. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills in communication and youth work, meet people, and make a positive impact in the community. The duration of volunteering period is flexible. Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
Valo will be the coordinating organisation in charge of all logistical matters. Volunteers will be provided with accommodation in Helsinki, either shared or private depending on availability. As an ESC volunteer, you will receive health insurance and monthly pocket money. Meals are covered by the ESC program. Travel costs will be reimbursed based on the travel distance. We aim to ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all participants.
Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
Volunteers will receive orientation and ongoing support throughout the year. You’ll train your project skills and regularly reflect on your learning together with a mentor. You’ll also take part in on-arrival and midterm trainings organized by the National Agency. On-the-job learning, with support by the team, will cover civic engagement, communication tools, teamwork, and project planning.
Dalyvio profilis
We welcome young people aged 18–30 from all backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities. We’re looking for someone who is motivated, creative, open-minded, and eager to learn. No specific experience is required, but we value a positive attitude and willingness to contribute. We hope you have an interest in developing yourself in the areas of communication, social media, and youth work.
