Application should be sent to esc.incoming@icye.dk Kvie Sø Efterskole is a Danish boarding school for young people aged 14–19 with physical and cognitive disabilities, including Down Syndrome, Autism, and developmental delays. The school provides a safe, structured, and caring environment where students develop social skills, independence, and self-confidence. Volunteers support students in both classroom and boarding life, working closely with teachers and staff. Tasks include helping students stay focused, motivating participation, offering individual guidance, and contributing to a calm learning environment. Outside class, volunteers take part in daily routines, meals, evening activities, and social events.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation: private room in the school, shared facilities Meals: three meals a day provided at school
Training during the activity
On arrival and Mid term training offered by the Danish National Agency. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to attend Dansk ICYE camps and events.

You are: Age 20+ Empathetic, patient, caring Outgoing, sociable, positive Have a good sense of humour Motivated, adaptable, and flexible Willing to learn from staff and follow guidance Comfortable engaging deeply with young people with special needs Interested in one or more of our main subject lines A non-smoker Able to communicate in basic English
