Sem&Vol is the regional delegation of Solidarités Jeunesses in Dordogne, France. Founded in 2013, Sem&Vol has organized more than 70 international workcamps and various projects hosted in different villages in Dordogne Its objectives are: - Creating new activities to promote the link with local people through participating and organizing intercultural activities - Developping short-term projects in the region (workcamps, trainings, hosting groups...) to enable international experience close to home for local youth - To boost the promotion of volunteering to the local youth and inform them about international mobility, civic engagement and volunteering Volunteers tasks include: - Daily workcamps (minor masonry work, woodwork, painting, environmental work...) - Organizing intercultural activities and local events - Organizing daily life in the house - Building networks between local organizations and Sem&Vol - Promoting Sem&Vol and volunteering
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
Sem&Vol is located in a small village called Cause-de-Clérans. Volunteers should be aware that it is a rural area and there is no public transportation. Volunteers are hosted in a two-floor house with a big garden space. Maximum 6 volunteers are hosted in two bedrooms. The house has a shower and a bathroom, two toilets, a fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor, you will be sharing meals and leisure time in a huge living room with a terrace. The house also has a work space for volunteers and office room for the staff.

During the project, you'll have the opportunity to : - Strengthen various skills, such as intercultural communication, group facilitation, manual work (masonry, woodwork...), collective life and organization; - Attend weekly French language class ; - Attend a facilitation training ; - Discover Solidarités Jeunesses, a Movement with over 1200 members !

Open to everybody coming from the EU or an ESC partner country, aged between 18 to 30 years old. Driving licence B (and experience with manual cars!) are recommended to be more autonomous (there are no public transportations!) We are looking for someone willing to participate to this volunteering project and someone open to discover new cultures. What matters the most if the motivation! So, if you like MANUAL WORK, INTERCULTURAL FACILITATION, NATURE and COLLECTIVE LIFE, or if you're interested to discover it, contact us!
