We work inclusively with non-disabled and disabled children, with children with integration needs and with a migration background, as well as with children who are developing rapidly. The central areas of learning and experience for our children are movement, the body and health. Closely linked to this, we focus on healthy eating, spending time in nature, working with natural and everyday materials, environmental education and social behaviour. We have the ‘Little Scientists’ House’ certificate and we participate in the federal programme “Language is the key...”. The children belong to a fixed group, but work is done across groups and open programmes round off the daycare centre's portfolio. Our volunteers are always integrated into fixed groups of children. We organise the specific content of the volunteer service together, based on your abilities, skills and interests.
Cazare, hrană și transport
We provide you with a furnished room in a shared apartment with a shared kitchen and bathroom. For your meals you will receive a financial allowance. You will also receive a financial amount with which you can buy a ticket for the tram in Leipzig. Optionally and if you want, we provide you with a bicycle to explore the city and the surrounding.
Formare pe durata activității
In addition to the National Agency seminars, there is an educational seminar day once a month with your tutor and other volunteers. Here, we exchange information about your work and everyday life and combine this with excursions, educational content or experiential educational activities. In addition, you will receive a language course based on your individual language level.
Profilul participantului
When you come to us at the daycare center, you will support the educators in their work. You help with the care and accompaniment of the children, help with the nursing tasks and over the time you take on more and more responsibility. You will be part of a team of educators and plan the day / week / kindergarten year with them. You can also take part in projects with the children and contribute your ideas. It would be fine if you bring with you at minimum a basic knoweledge of the german language. And you should bring the following with you: - Motivation - A desire to learn and gain new experiences - Interest in other people - Empathy - Intercultural skills - Openness towards other socialisation backgrounds and world views - Desire to exchange ideas and develop your own personality
