 APPLY HERE BY FILLING THE APPLICATION FORM: https://forms.gle/TpUyXb4R6AK3wFTD7  YOU WILL FIND MORE INFO ON THE MISSION HERE : https://urlr.me/AMzxuk  The volunteer's mission will take place in an Asylum Seekers Center (CADA) called “Le Nid ”, in Saint-Jeoire.  SOCIO-CULTURAL ACTIVITIES : Animation / mediation around education against discrimination and racism ; Preparation of entertainment outings, of well-being workshops, of events.  SPORTS ACTIVITIES : Support in setting up sporting and cultural events based on the volunteer's interests: snow sports, mountain sports, cycling, climbing, etc. ; Participation in sporting events ; Co-preparation in outings with local organizations.  TRANSVERSAL : Participation in the creation and monitoring of a vegetable garden and a rest area with foreign unacommpanied minors. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

 Volunteers receive free accommodation. The volunteer shares a room with another volunteer in the Center. The room has a separate bathroom and toilet.  Volunteers are fed at the Center every day, 3 times a day.  Volunteers receive the monthly equivalent of €8 pocket money per day (€224 to €248/month depending on the number of days in the month) + €116/month food allowance to feed themselves during their vacations and when the Le Nid canteen is closed (2-3 weeks a year)  Volunteers are provided with the possibility of using the Center’s cars, subject to availability.

Training during the activity

 Volunteers will take part in two seminars bringing together volunteers from all over France.  The volunteer will be able to take French courses at the center.  Volunteers will have the opportunity to take the Brevet d'Aptitude aux Fonctions d'Animateur (BAFA). This diploma enables to supervise children and teenagers in a non-professional capacity.  Volunteers can take a first-aid course.  Other training courses on various themes (e.g.: two-day training course in Paris on international solidarity, online training on setting up sustainable solidarity projects,..)

Participant profile

 Desire to practice and improve French. Everything happens in French in the project.  Highly motivated by cultural exchange, human relations and sharing.  Desire to share FOL74 values.  Desire to coorganize activities for the public of the center.  Interest for manual works.  Driving license.
