Description
The volunteer’s tasks in Flat Service will be carried out in three areas: - Support in activities carried out in the residence and during the rest period (stidy up, lunch and afternoon nap) - Support in daily routine skills and self-care tasks (preparing a snack, right attitudes on the table, collecting and storing clothes, cleaning the house…) - Support with personal autonomy and activities (sightseeing, museums, cinemas, shopping, swimming pool, fitness…) - Support with personal autonomy and personal hygiene tasks (showers, put on pijamas, lay out clothes the next day, clean teeth, have dinner, watch TV, go to bed) -Support in summer camps and/or beach vacations (including weekends if they coincide with these activities )
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
- Holidays: 2 working days for one month project. One part of the holidays will be taken in Christmas or Easter due to a reduction of activities in this dates - Working Hours and Days off: 35 hours a week from Monday to Friday, 2 working days of holiday per month - The volunteer will live in a flat with all amenities covered and will receive a monthly allowance for food, local transport and pocket money Linguistic training (in person) at the Official School of Languages or University of Burgos.
Training during the activity
Autismo Burgos guarantees the assistance of the volunteer to the cycle of Formation and Evaluation of the ESC as well as to the linguistics and cultural formation, assumes the responsibility for increasing the level of awareness concerning risk evaluation, risk prevention and a high level of pastoral care within the programme.. Volunteers will always be supervised and will be working with a professional member of staff of the association. Specific training will be continuous and given by the host organization. Courses will be organized in the Autismo Burgos or by other Burgos Organizations
