Want to bring Europe to life in a French city?
Maison de l'Europe Le Mans - Sarthe
La Ville du Mans - Service Enfance Jeunesse et Sports
Le Mans, Prancūzija
Aprašymas
Want to bring Europe into the heart of a French city? The City of Le Mans is welcoming two ESC volunteers to work alongside its teams and make a real impact — with children at lunchtime in local schools, and with young people at the Youth Service. You won’t be just an extra pair of hands: you’ll bring your culture, your language and your ideas into spaces where young Manceaux rarely get to meet someone like you. The City has been hosting ESC volunteers since 2021, and each year it’s an opportunity for local teams to evolve their practices and for young people to discover that Europe is something real — something they can be part of too.
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
You’ll live in Le Mans, in a shared house with the other ESC volunteers of the project — everything provided, and a ready-made international crew to explore France with! A public transport card covers all your daily travel around the city. On school days, you’ll eat lunch with the teams you work with; for other meals, you’ll receive food money.
Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
You’ll start with an onboarding training with the Maison de l’Europe and your full volunteer group, where you’ll get to know Le Mans, each other and the ESC framework. You’ll also attend the official on-arrival and mid-term ESC seminars organised at national level.
Dalyvio profilis
You might be our ideal volunteer if you’re enthusiastic, adaptable and genuinely enjoy spending time with children and young people. You’re curious, open to new experiences and ready to share your culture, your language and your passions — whether that’s music, sport, arts, science or something else entirely. Some French is a real plus to connect with the kids and the teams, but motivation matters most. An interest in how local public services work is a bonus!
