The youth centre Aktionszentrum (organisation run by the congregation of the Salesians of Don Bosco) has sent and hosted many volunteers from different countries of the world. Through the project "Time for young people" we want to enable volunteering commitment at two different levels: working with children aged 3-6 and working with young people aged 14-18. We are looking for 5 volunteers, who will work in two different settings, but will be linked by a common red line, which is the commitment as European volunteers in the frame of the European solidarity corps. All the volunteers will join the activities at the end of August 2023 till the end of August 2024. Two volunteers will work in the public Kindergarden of Benediktbeuern from Monday till Friday. Two volunteers will be active in the Don Bosco Youth Centre, working with young people between 14-18. 2 Volunteers will work in the Centre for environmental education of Benediktbeuern, with a focus on ecology.
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
The volunteers will get rooms in our campus. In this centre we already have a community of around 16 volunteers from Germany working in different fields. The volunteers can join this community and share the community rooms (kitchen and living room) with them. The volunteers will get meals in the cantine of the youth centre Aktionszentrum, according to the different time schedules. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to the ESC-programme rules. Pocket money and insurance will be provided.
Formazione durante l'attività
The volunteers will join the ESC-trainings (on-arrival training and mid-term meeting). Next to this there will several opportunities for further training in different fields.
Profilo del partecipante
Young people between 18 and 30, with knowledge of German, interested in working with children or young people.
