Volunteers & host coordinator create a schedule together according to interests & needs. Activities include working at Samvirket, the new Cultural Centre.This involves day to day practical tasks, backstage and Front of House tasks with theatre, concerts & events; work with kids at 5-7 club, helping at kindergarten, after-school club, in schools & United World College; assisting mentally challenged at Vevang daycentre & in leisure activities like football, swimming & volleyball; organizing activities with & for refugees e.g. language café. A central activity is work at BUA offering free loan of sports & outdoor equipment. Volunteers drive once a week to deliver food to people around the village.There are also many external events. Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
Volunteers live in a newly refurbished apartment in Samvirket in the centre of Dale.There are 2 bedrooms, shared kitchen, bathroom, living room and private access. Samvirket houses Fjaler Frivilligsentralen, BUA Fjaler as well as Teaterfestivalen, Culture School and Preform Theatre Production Company. So, the building is a hub of cultural activity and a meeting place for people of all ages. Volunteers receive food allowance, pocket money and we provide a bike as well as membership to use the gym.
Formazione durante l'attività
Our volunteers take part in a week’s, Arrival Seminar for volunteers from all over Norway between 30/10/ - 4/11, and later, a Mid -term seminar. These are great learning opportunities and super for connecting with other volunteers. Our volunteers are encouraged to spend time experiencing different parts of Norway and we schedule so this is possible. Time is scheduled for Norwegian language study throughout the project and we provide learning materials. Norwegian is also offered as OLS. All other training is provided within the project.

We are looking for 2 open-minded, motivated, flexible & outgoing young persons to join us in a small, multicultural village between mountains & fjord in western Norway. Volunteers with experience/genuine interest in sports, outdoor pursuits & arts/culture are particularly welcome since many of our activities are within these areas. You must be able to take initiative, be responsible and enjoy working with people. Our partnership organization, Turbina Pomerania, Germany will be your sending organization, provide funding, information & support. Prospective candidates will receive invitations for interviews around 11th march and interviews will be held between 17th-21st March on Teams. Projects start on 25th August 2025-mid August 2026.
