Pasākuma apraksts

The volunteer will be responsible for: assisting the teachers in their daily work: participation in the pedagogical activities of the European section: discovery of European countries, preparation of European recipes; helping the teachers to prepare the students for their European mobility experience; participation in the History and French classes: presenting his/her country, the intra-European cultural differences. Supporting teachers in integrating social networks into their teaching methods; participating in the socio-cultural activities in the school. Writing the weekly internal newspaper (NDI) and the quarterly school newspaper (Les Echos), welcoming students to the foyer during their breaks; accompanying teachers on school trips; participating in information on post-bac orientation for students at the school.

Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports

The volunteer will share a furnished flat with other CES volunteers or young French people, 20 minutes walk from the school. Each has a private room with bathroom. The kitchen and sanitary facilities are shared. The volunteer has the possibility to rent a bicycle to get around Redon. We will pay an allowance of 7,50€/day for meals and the volunteer will be able to use the kitchen of his flat. In order to integrate with the teachers and students, the volunteer will have to have lunch a few days a week at the school restaurant. The volunteer will receive 6 € / day pocket money.

Mācības pasākuma laikā

The volunteer will benefit from French lessons for the duration of his/her stay, at the rate of 3 hours per week. These courses will be given by a local association, according to the level of French, in common with all the volunteers welcomed in Redon.

Dalībnieka profils

We would like to welcome a candidate who is motivated by working in a vocational school with teenagers aged between 15 and 20. The candidate we wish to integrate into the team must be willing, curious and open to differences. Our priority is to welcome everyone, with respect for each individual. The language of exchange with the adult team and with the students must be one of the languages taught at the school: English, Spanish, German. The mastery of the French language is not essential for the reception of the volunteer.
