Wat houdt de activiteit in?

Looking for Portuguese guy or girl for approved project! Individual volunteering project (ex EVS) - Integration and creativity, asylum seekers, theatre, youth center 12 months (sep2018-sep2019) Italy, Emilia Romagna, Faenza: nice weather, amazing food, cool people Double room in design university guest house. City center, in the University area. SE.M.I. is a small new association that works for integration through creativity and wishes to receive two international volunteers (from Portugal and Russia) that will add up their own creativity and diversity to our association and beautiful town (Faenza). This project will help the volunteers to get new knowledge, skills, attitudes, therefore improving their personal development and involvement in society.

Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer

Faenza is a small city (roughly 60.000 inhabitants) but it's culturally quite active as it is a worldly center for artistic ceramics. It is close to both the Appenninis mountains and the Adriatic see. It is very well connected by public transports to Bologna, Ravenna and also Firenze, very important Italian artistic cities. The accommodations is a double room in design university guest house. City center, in the University area. The volunteers will get pocket money + food money, €280 per month in total.

Wat leer je?

- languages, improved knowledge of English, learning Italian and a bit of Russian/Portuguese, more - awareness of own mother tongue; - awareness of other cultures and countries (European and non European as Russia but also asylum seekers countries as Ghana, Nigeria, Mali, Afghanistan etc.) and of the European values (especially tolerance and respect of human rights); - building an international network of contacts; - increased creativity skills (if not artistic, problem solving skills, thinking out of the box) and habit of intercultural dialogue and critical thinking. *more in infopack

Wie zoeken we?

Male or female, 18-30 years old, speaking English (basic level) or Italian or Spanish, motivated to develop personally and professionally and show initiative proposing own projects. Willing to develop communication skills, to experience a different culture and bring back that experience to his local community. Keen on learning but also sharing their knowledge and actively contribute to the life of SE.M.I. Passionate about helping others, especially young people with fewer opportunities as asylum seekers, through creativity. Please, send your motivation letter and whatsapp number!
