Wat houdt de activiteit in?

Basilicata Link is a youth organization created in 2012 with the aim of increasing intercultural initiatives and promoting non formal education methodologies in the Basilicata region. Main target group is youth and main objective intercultural education activities with informal groups and in schools. We need someone to support us in: - implementation of EU and group projects; information campaigns about mobility programs - support for Radio pod cast realized inside our office; connected with youth to teach them podcasting and support them in their objectives; - creative workshops for youth and English tandems - Social Media management and documentation (foto, video, press release, ect) - updating the blogs, websites and social media documentation of the activities (foto, video, press release). Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer

The hosting city Matera has been European Capital of Culture 2019. Volunteers will leave in Matera city centre, in a shared flat (double rooms) not far from the working place. The apartment is self- managed and the volunteer needs to share kitchen and bathroom with other ESC volunteers. There is no need for local transportation. Money for food will be provided by the host organization. As the rule of ESC program the volunteer receives 5€ per day for pocket money. Money is given in cash or, if the volunteer wishes, is sent via banks transfer. There are available bikes to use.

Wat leer je?

Long-term volunteers will be followed during all the activities by a tutor who will favor their job placement and integration within the working group, thus favoring one full and active participation in all the activities of the NGO. The tutor will organize meetings programming periodicals in which the other members of the NGO will participate, and will be made available to contribute to the resolution of any voluntary need. In order to facilitate the integration of the volunteer not only in the organization, but also in the community local, a mentor will be identified.

Wie zoeken we?

We need a flexible volunteer and interested in supporting all kind of initiatives. A person interested to know more about the management of a cultural association in Italy; the will to support local youth in their orientation and their first approaches to European issues; a person ready to help in the development of the ideas of others but also to come up with personal ideas and put them into practice;
