Youth Leadership: Driving Change for a Sustainable Future

As a student at the Cyprus University of Technology and a proud young Cypriot woman, I’ve always believed in the power of youth to drive meaningful societal change. Through the Running-Fluent Initiative and support from the European Solidarity Corps, in our project ‘‘innovative creation and development of a green and health community’’ I had the opportunity to lead cycling events, organize cultural celebrations, and promote diversity, fostering stronger social cohesion within our communities.

Working closely with our team, I saw how these initiatives inspired young people to step into leadership roles and actively shape inclusive, sustainable futures. This journey deepened my passion for youth leadership, reinforcing my belief that persistence, teamwork, and shared purpose can leave a lasting impact on society.
