Opis organizacije

GSM - Youth Services Centre, was founded in 1985 in Ankara to contribute to the personal, social and cultural
development of young people while supporting their active participation in social and economic life. Since its
establishment, GSM has been implementing youth programs through various cooperations within Erasmus+ Programme
and European Solidarity Corps while developing new cooperations to contribute to the development of youth policies and
global education.
Youth Services Centre works on the activities concerning global education and promoting the global education and active
citizenship of young people by incorporating a approach to its activities.
The objectives of the youth services centre are :
- To promote global education among young people and make it as a priority among the youth work practitioners in
Turkey and EU
- To promote the development of youth policies accordingly to the wishes and interests of the young people
- To provide and develop social, cultural and educational activities for the young people to make them realise their
potential in a manner that they contribute to society as active citizens
- To provide information to the young people to make them gain necessary competencies and skills
- To promote the interculturality among the young people through the different type of mobility schemes ( youth
exchanges, mobility of youth workers and volunteering and youth camp programs )
