Youth Power is a non - governmental organization established with aim to help young people in their everyday life, give them knowledge and promote young people as role models in today’s modern society. Organization was established in January 2013. by group of young people having previous working experience in ngo sector. YP creates a society in which young people are respected, successful and have opportunity to develop their potentials. We are working on promotion of healthy lifestyles, non-violent behaviour, gender equality, connecting young, active participation in social life and decision-making, voluntarism, promoting culture, advocating for democracy and human rights.
As it can be seen from our name, we are all about youth. Working with young people has to provide them also opportunities to travel to other places, visit other organizations and learn about everything that interests them. We cannot offer young people to acquire knowledge from all disciplines that each person is interested in, but as part of the EVS partnerships young people will get chance to visit country they like and get education needed for them. Besides adopting new knowledge youth will gain new friendships, which is one of the things YP is advocating for. Young people coming as volunteers to our organization can learn about all segments of youth work, our initiatives aiming at youth rights etc. City where we are located, Mostar, is city with rich history, lots of local customs and other stuff interesting for every visitor.
