Organization has been established in 2002 year. Mission: *Student-Youth Council* is a public union, which aims at solving the problems that youth and students are facing by protecting their rights, promoting knowledge and skills, filling informational gap, realizing youth’s intellectual, creative, cultural and sport potentials.

The program directions:
YOUTH INTEGRATIONS AND ASSISTANCE FOR THEIR ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT IN CIVIL LIFE - is implementing through the “Alliance of EuroClubs of Georgia” and “Open Space” founded by the organisation. SYC helps the beneficiaries to get involving in different kind of civil activities, improve their competences and skills via the trainings and master-classes, it also actively is using the possibilities given by the EU programme ”Erasmus+“ through the organizing of international Youth Exchanges and trainings, also encourages and fosters participation of local youngsters in the international activities our of country. In this field the SYC has participated in 121 international projects, in which frames it was presented as the co organizer partner organisation of 47 international projects and hosting organisation of 29 international activities in Georgia and this practice is continuing successfully until this moment.

ASSISTANCE FOR TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP THE VOLUNTEERING –in this field the SYC is actively implementing its work at local and international levels under the frames of European Union, we have hosted 101 European volunteers from different European countries in Georgia and sent 109 Georgian volunteers to different EU countries under the voluntary mission in the frames of former EVS (European Voluntary Service) and ESC (European Solidarity Corps) programs.

ASSISTANCE FOR TO ESTABLISH AND DEVELOP DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT/SELF-GOVERNMENT - since 2003 the organisation has implemented lots of projects towards this direction as independently, also in cooperation of European partner organisations, which consists with the establishing of successful practices in the local self-government, developing of competences and skills of public officials, improving of self-governmental services, the activities supporting the citizens` engagement in local self-government, in particular, establishing and activation of the system of E-petitions in the Municipality of the city Poti, live streaming of assembly meetings, public hearings. The organisation is also actively involved in the project of National Democratic Institution (NDI), as the member of local self-governmental budget`s coordination group.

The projects implemented in this directions are covering the researching of the priorities of communities in Guria region, encouraging and supporting of youth participation in the discussions for the municipal budget, presenting own projects, as well as supporting and helping of local self-governments – to retrain the municipal representatives in different territorial units in order to provide the researching of priorities of local population by them in concrete communities for the “Rural development Program”.

- member of the *International Development Alliance – IDA*;
- co-founder of *Youth Organisation Forum of Georgia*;
- associate member of *National Council of Youth Organizations Georgia*;
- associate member *Youth European Network – EURO-NET*;
- member of the *European network against nationalism, racism, fascism and in support of migrants and refugees – UNITED*;
- is a part of working group in our country in the frames of *European Youth Campaign for Diversity, Human Rights and Participation - All different, All Equal*;
- signatory of *Code of Ethics for Georgian Civil Society Organizations*;
- signatory of the *Memorandum of Cooperation Civil Society Organizations and the Parliament of Georgia*.
