Motto:
"We do care about children and young people - many small children build bunkers in which they feel safe.
They run away to these bunkers to hide away from their everyday problems.
We want to create a place which will serve as a refuge for children and young people...”


Bunkr, o.p.s. is a non-profit organisation that reacts to children´s and youth´s diffucult life situations, accompanies them during growing up, supports their social bonding in communities and families. We focus mainly on prevention.


Bunkr, o.p.s. was established in 2003 in Trinec. Today, the organization operates in 3 towns: Trinec, Bohumin and Nový Jičín.

We work with young people that go through or may in the future - with regard to their environment:

- complicated life events (eg. detachment from family, family dissolutions, new partners of theirs parents, engagement in risky peer groups, difficulties až school, choice of career and development of working habits and social seclusion and marginalization)
- conflicting social situations (eg. criminal activities, conflicts with parents or establishments)
- negative experience and risk behaviour (eg. premature or risky sexual experiences and behaviour, bullying, truancy,
experiments with drugs)

We take seriously and listen to all of our clients' worries and try to support and accompany our clients throughout a process of coping with and overcoming the difficulties. We create a safe environment in which our clients can meet with their peers. Together with our clients we organize creative and inspiring activities. We try to positively influence our clients' values, attitudes and motivations.
We participate in other various events and projects that inform and educate the public on social issues of today's young generation.

We work "under the roof" (in clubs) and outside ("in the streets") with our clients.
Our clients can attend one of the three low-threshold facilities for children and youth, use a music studio Bunkryt or be regularly in touch with our streetworkers.

Part of Bunkr o.p.s. is the Student Team. Students meet once in two weeks, gather and carry out their ideas such as regular Student´s Ball etc.

In addition to it, we have a project going on called Playgrounds without boredom, where student teams together with our workers organize games and activities for children.

We also operate a community centre in Trinec - Borek, where we help local children with education, integration and other issues they might have.

Last but not least we musn´t forget to mention our Bunkryt music rehearsal room for young beginning musicians.
