We are one of the most active non-governmental organizations operating in the Świętokrzyskie region, working mostly in the frame of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps. For over 15 years, our main activity has been helping people who want to become volunteers and intermediation between volunteers and organizations that need volunteering help. Since 2012, we host EVS volunteers and we keep on working in an international environment to promote volunteering, social activity and responsible attitude towards social problems. Together, we prepare and write projects proposals on matters important to young people, including those related to dialogue with decision-makers (debates during the European Youth Week, discussion meetings as part of the Watch Docs festival) and involvement in pro-ecological activities (cleaning nature reserves, ecological family picnics, participation in the Youth Climate Strike).
Our ESC volunteers are travelling through the whole region to organize workshops on various topics important to local communities - we promote EU programs, healthy lifestyle, education about intercultural dialogue and combating hate speech.
We also keep on writing local ESC solidarity projects (youth initiatives such as "Freedom, Equality, Solidarity", "Volunteering in therapy", "United in diversity") thanks to which we are able to prepare young people for active participation in social life. It is very important for us to show volunteers that they are responsible for their local environment and it depends on them how they will shape their - closer and further - environment.
Our main activities include voluntary work placement and regular meetings for volunteers. Anyone willing to get involved in social activities will find support with us - we not only provide expert knowledge in the field of Eurodesk activities (we run the “Time to Move” campaign every year), but also know-how related to cooperation with local institutions. Our volunteers help throughout the city and the region (County Service Center program), and gain new knowledge through training in the Solidarity Corps (program of National Institute of Freedom). Volunteers organize cyclical events (including the Volunteer Gala, the campaign to send cards to the social institutions, Good Deeds Day, One Billion Rising - dance against violence, Writing Letters Marathon, Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, documentary film festival “WATCH DOCS - human rights in movie”).
Our main activity is also the Youth Station - afternoon meetings conducted by foreign volunteers, our trainers and local volunteers who share their passions (dance, art, language workshops). Classes are held five times a week and are very popular among school students, who are our main target group. Recently, we have taken steps to develop the network of Volunteer Centers in the region, including in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and Skarżysko-Kamienna.
RCW has also vast experience in Strategic Partnership projects in Erasmus+ Programme through which we mostly focus on digital tools in youth work and adult education (projects related to introducing Virtual Reality into youth work) as well as youth participation.
Currently we also implement two projects related to volunteering in sports through Erasmus+ SPORT.
RCW is a Eurodesk Point, used to be an Erasmus+ Regional Information Point and well as the Youth in Action Regional Training Point.
