Udruzenje Svetlost was established in 2001 by young people and leaders concerned about the well-being of young people. Youth workers/leaders/educators/staff from Association support community-wide efforts and professional development opportunities for young people as well as ability to communicate across sectors and support advocacy efforts. By collecting and sharing data, we do our best to address key concerns of young people, tackle complex issues faced by them, and work together with them to create a better community. Svetlost is dedicated to building professional and social capacities of young people, including those with fewer opportunities and to encourage them to take active role in decision making process at the local, national and EU levels. We envision a community where all youth are reaching their full potential. We organize different activities with an objective to ensure a culture, vision and system that supports young people to exercise power by being skilled, critically aware and active in changing community with supportive behaviors.
At the same time we work on professional development of our staff by increasing access to and participation in quality professional development training opportunities relevant to our needs. At the moment, Svetlos
