The MJC is a non profit organisation , we promote a non formal education. Our main goal is the development of active citizenship for young people and adults through the implementation of social and cultural activities ,including entering into the fields of leisure, recreation and sports. education and prevention.

The House of Youth and Culture of the Region of Elbeuf is located in Normandy.
We have many projects for a very diversified public: children, young people and adults, we have different actions with educational, cultural or social aims. We have several educaional activities for migrants ( lessons in French, promoting social and professional inclusion) . Our goal is to fight against exclusions.
We work with the school to help students in their formal educational work and connect teachers and family - parenthood - and we organize cultural actions for families with fewer opportunities.
We also work with young people, we organize many actions of support to their projects and the valorization of their initiatives and we support the engagement of the young people in the local action. We have importante experience in the field of youth work and assist many young people in very different projects: social, cultural, educational and professional. Most of our actions concern the engagement of young people and we support them in their process of autonomy.
We also provide support services to local associations and their leaders.We want to develop skills in project management or financial and administrative management. For us, associations are one of the pillars of local development; they are associated with the management of public affairs as key interlocutors. To this end, the MJC wants to be a space to test the responsibilities, the solidarities, the commitments of innovation and the valorization of the initiatives. Associations are very important for democracy and civic life.
Our association helps to promote the dynamic development of individual and collective interests and to support the initiative of the inhabitants of the neighborhood.
We also have a multimedia department with Web TV and video training and we promote many actions and initiatives .
We also organize numerous workshops, hobbies and activities in the cultural, artistic, scientific and technical fields.
The organization is a place where all the multicultural and social differences are represented. We develop meetings for a better understanding, we consider the activities as a tool to live better together beyond the social, economic and cultural situations.
We work with many local partners because we organize actions and events of intercommunal dimension (10 towns). The young volunteers will have the opportunity to meet and work with teams of professionals and volunteers from different youth structures, prevention, social or cultural. They can also be in contact with local elected officials and many publics. This opportunity and opportunity for meetings and links with the actors and the local population is for us fundamental, with the aim of cultural discovery and valorization of European values.
