De Glind is a village in the middle of the Netherlands. The nearest town is Barneveld, 40.000 inhabitants at 7 km's . The nearest big town is Amersfoort, 120.000 inhabitants at 12 km's. In the surroundings are many chickenfarms. De Glind itself is a small village. About 60 % of the inhabitants in the village is in some way [as an employee or volunteer or in any other interest] linked to Dutch Youthcare. There are five organisations for Youthcare settled in the village. Together they care for about 130 children that are outplaced from home. They live in familyhomes or groups. Because most of the inhabitants are familiair with the problems of these children, there is a high level social control in order to realise a safe social climate. The majority of the inhabitants is high educated in social wellfare/youth wellfare. There is almost no unemployment in the vllage.
