United Games of Nations - Czech Republic (UGCZ) is non-profit non-governmental organisation established in 1992, since 1996 working in Olomouc. Our organisation is active on regional as well as on international level. Since the beginning, UGCZ is a member of United Games International an informal body formed in early 1990’s in order to help co-operating of 7 national organisations in Slovenia, Czech Republic, Austria, Serbia, Germany, Hungary, India. United Games International is an official “umbrella organisation” for its 7 members since 2009.
Our projects target to activate and to engage young people to civic society. We support intercultural dialog, tolerance and non-violent thinking among youngsters. As well we pay attention to development of sense for responsibility and independence. All our activities are based on non-formal education, volunteering and peer to peer principles. Every year UGCZ organize international youth exchange and offer to take part at youth exchanges organized by our international partners. Every May UGCZ and EuropeDirect carry out the celebration of the Day of Europe. Also we organize unusual summer camps and Halloween for kids as well as for adults. We help to organize activities of our partner Dum deti a mladeze Olomouc such as sport competitions or celebration of Day of Earth. Also we support local festival of people with disabilities Fimfarum. Twice a year we organize weekend team-building meetings for our members as well for those who would like to be engaged to our activities. UGCZ provide to their members possibilities to participate in non-formal educational events such as training courses, conferences and youth congresses.
