Our Mission:
Caritas Latvija helps marginalized individuals by promoting human dignity, inspired by the Gospel, Catholic social teaching, and the needs of others. We encourage the congregation and all people of good will to respond to the needs of the marginalized.

Our Vision:
Building a society of love where all members are heard and supported according to their needs.

Values:

Human Dignity: We value each person for who they are, providing help regardless of their background. We assist in meeting basic needs like food, clothing, shelter, and communication.

Solidarity: We take responsibility for others, offering spiritual and material support, volunteering, and donating resources.

Mercy: We perform acts of love to meet both physical and spiritual needs, prioritizing empathy and understanding.

Peace and Development: We believe peace requires truth, justice, and solidarity. We organize charity campaigns and support Caritas Internationalis and Caritas Europe.

Cooperation and Subsidiarity: We empower those we help to share their abilities and take responsibility for their lives, working with other organizations and volunteers.

Education and Heart Formation: We train and offer experience exchanges for volunteers, nurturing the heart through the Word of God and retreats.
