A szervezet leírása

Our organization (www.nuestromundo.gr) was established in 2010 by a group of young people in Crete. Our aim is to create a space for expression and gathering of people. Our inspiration is drawn from ideas and values such as the intercultural learning; the intergenerational solidarity; the natural protection; the production and consumption of products with respect to nature and human beings and the social solidarity. We wish to maintain our right to dream in taught times by creating in group and acting as local and global citizens.

Our organization has developed non-formal education activities for young people, artistic events and initiatives for the promotion of social economy/fair trade in Greece and abroad. In relation to European Voluntary Service (EVS), we have developed many projects focusing in social work, education and arts in collaboration with hosting organizations abroad. Other indicative local activities of our organization include the organization of eco-festivals, handcrafts exhibitions, educational events for fair trade and trainings on social economy, creative workshops for children in collaboration with parents associations as well as the offering of internships for students in collaboration with the University of Grete.
Our operation is supported by a group of young people who have studying and working experience in Greece and abroad in sectors such as education, social work and arts. We collaborate mainly with young people who are active in these fields. However, people of older age are also members of our organizations and enrich our work with their experience. We have a participatory organizational structure. Our members support not only our actions but also the financial sustainability of our organization.
