A szervezet leírása

Our entity is located in a rural territory which does not have many opportunities for the young population. That is why we find that many young people are looking for alternatives that enable them to live new experiences that inspire this decisive moment in their lives.
The GDR of the Guadalhorce Valley as a non-profit association aims the sustainable Rural Developmente, guiding the implementation of LEADER development strategy in our region. A genuine & productive valley in the interior of Málaga (south of Spain).Our partners are local actors from small and organic farms, food companies, goat cattle raiser, tourist enterprises, young people, women associations, among others. Also the 7 city councils of our region are present in our association, which give us a great capacity for action.
We work in different essential areas to promote the development of our region, such as Gender Equality, Youth and Education, Training for Youngsters, Organic agriculture and farming, Sustainable Tourism or Environmental Protection; because we consider that an integral development is the best way to grown.
Thus, Social Innovation applied to Local Development is our way of working, considering people like the key for solving their difficulties whether they are social, environmental and economic problems, improving quality of life and meeting real needs of our territory.
