Kindergarten is a modern, open to innovation educational institution, which prfessionaly provides social-edacational services for the child, his family and wich, nourishing tradicions and customs, contribute to development of general culture in Birzai district municipality. Kindergarten has 14 qualified preschool educators, 8 assistant educators, art education teacher, physical education teacher and speech therapist, social educator.
The kindergarten is located in the northern part of Lithuania, Birzai, which has about 11 thousand inhabitants. There are cities nearby: Pasvalys (about 6 thousand inhabitants) 30 km away and Panevėžys (about 60 thousand inhabitants) 70 km away. In the old town Birzai is lake Sirvena, 500 meters long bridge across the lake, two rivers Apascia and Agluona, old castle and. etc.
The kindergarten is headed by a director. The average age of teachers is 45 years. Kindergarten educates about 130 children, which in the nursery sleep a day, eat three times (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Priority aims of the organization working with preschool age children (1-5 y.o. and 6 y.o.):
- healthy lifestyle skill's development;
- promotion of active motion and sports;
- development of art skills (dance, fine arts, singing);
- promotion of environmental protection skills.
Kindergarten started activities in 1983. We have 8 groups of children (1-6 y.o.) in which work qualified preschool educators and their assistants. Our regular education activities: daily workshops in groups, arts, music, physical training, football, activities with speech therapist (if needed). We have separate spaces inside for sports, music, library and outside for sports activities (f.e. football). In education process we use modern equipment (SMART interactive board, tablets) and other tools. We cooperated with other education institutions by organizing common events and sharing practice.
