Norwegian Judo Federation (NJF) is a center organisation for Norwegian Judo clubs. NJF has 65 member clubs, which have about 4500 active members. 73 % of the members are between ages of 3 and 19.NJF is organized in The Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF). We are a member organisation in European Judo Union (EJU) and International Judo Federation (IJF).NJF offers and organizes a wide range of educational opportunities to our member clubs. Both for leaders, coaches, referees, athletes, organizers and many more. We organizer competition at national level for members from 13 years old.Some of our education offers, is prepared in cooperation with the Norwegian Confederation of Sports and others National Sport Federations. Specially the education of coaches, which is extensive. There is a close cooperation with this organizations also in social responsibility and in the sport of special groups (people with physical or intellectual disabilities). Norwegian Judo Federation vision is that "Everyone is welcome, and someone will take Gold". One of Norwegian Judo's main task is that we will be an environment characterized by Judo's unique philosophy, identity and values. Our goal is to increase our memberships (both amount of clubs and club members). The main target group for the work in NJF is youths between 13-19 years old. The goals is that all clubs in our country will offer activities of high quality for this age group. Focus area is to ensure high quality of trainers who are responsible in clubs for the age group. And it is important that clubs have a variety of activities for youth. We have also goals for our elite sport. The mains task for NJF is building a top sport culture and facilitating talent development in all parts of the country.

  • This organisation is accredited to run projects under Erasmus+ Volunteering and the European Solidarity Corps.
  • This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
