Järjestön kuvaus

Vilnius Balsiai school was established in 2011. The school building is brand new, modern, comfortable, equipped with modern technologies and tools.
The school community consists of about 1200 students (6-14 years old), their parents, teachers and the staff. The school is divided into Lower School (ages 6-7), Primary School (ages 7-11), and Secondary School (ages 11-14). Volunteers will have an opportunity to work with a combination of three major age groups. Routine school activities include formal education and a wide range of extra-curricular activities (non-formal education) involving sports, arts, dancing, theatre, nature, etc. The school is also equipped for students with learning difficulties and special needs, with a great team of specialists providing special support: social pedagogue, special pedagogue, psychologist, speech therapist, etc.
We have a comfortable and modern library, sports and dance halls, an outside garden and a sports field. These facilities are available for pupils and the school community for non-formal learning.
