A szervezet leírása

Scout club “Madarski konnik” is an association founded in 2008. The club is a member of Organisation of Bulgarian scouts. The organization team consists of young volonteers experienced in voluntary teamwork with volunteers from various EU countries. Scouts activity is mainly outdoors, aiming to improve young people’s unity with nature and others.
The club is actively participating in youth activities in the town of Shumen and its region. It has very good partnerships with youth policy organizations and local self-government authorities.
Keeping in mind its public relevance the association periodically organizes mass ecologically and socially important campaigns. In addition to the local monthly organized events the scouts are organizing and participating in national and multinational scout events such as seasonal camps, national and international meetings, seminars, trainings, volunteer projects and campaigns around the country. Scout movement is voluntary, non-political, educational and democratic, it is open for all people no matter their origin, race, religion and age.
Organization's main objectives:
- Help increasing civil consciousness
- Support initiatives developing volunteering
- Issue educational materials about volunteering
- Recruit and educate youth volunteers
- Consult organizations employing volunteers
- Work on protection and restoration of the environment
- Contact other national and international nongovernmental organizations and institutions with the intention of exchanging experience and cooperation
The main activities are targeted at:
- Forming a suitable environment for informal learning
- Professional, social and personal orientation and realization of young people
- Extending youth's knowledge, experience and skills in relation to their needs and interests. Stimulate their hunger for new knowledge.
- Encourage active youth participation in the civic and economic life
