Beskrivelse af organisationen

AEGEE-León (www.aegeelon.org) es una asociación de estudiantes española que promociona la cooperación, comunicación y la integración de los jóvenes de toda Europa. Como organización no gubernamental, apartidista y sin ánimo de lucro, AEGEE-León está abierta a todos los estudiantes y jóvenes interesados en cualquier área.Se fundó en Agosto de 2003 y tenemos cerca de 200 miembros. Para los estudiantes españoles organizamos cursos de verano, conferencias sobre distintas temáticas (paz, integración, educación, derechos humanos, etc), seminarios, debates, talleres de formación, salidas culturales, intercambios juveniles, campamentos de verano, etc.Somos además un ente ineludible que colabora activamente con la oficina de Relaciones Internacionales de la Universidad de León, organizando todo tipo de actividades para los estudiantes Erasmus y Amicus en la Universidad (reuniones informales, cenas de grupo, viajes, intercambios lingüísticos, etc.).Aunque el ámbito de actuación de AEGEE-León es local, trabajamos en red con otras sedes locales de AEGEE que componen AEGEE-Europa, nuestra asociación es independiente de esta, y no nos englobamos por tanto en el ámbito de ONG Europea.AEGEE-Europa está presente en más de 200 ciudades en 40 países dentro y fuera de Europa, siendo AEGEE la mayor asociación de estudiantes interdisciplinaria de Europa (www.aegee.org).______________________________________________________________________________________________________________AEGEE­León (www.aegeeleon.org) is a Spanish student organisation that promotes cooperation, communication and integration among young people all over Europe. As a non­governmental, politically independent and non­profit organisation, AEGEE­León is open to all the students and young people from all kind of studies and areas of interest.We were founded on August of 2003 and we have reached 200 members. We organize Summer Universities, thematic conferences (peace, integration, education, human rights, etc), seminars, debates, training courses, cultural sightseeing and youth exchanges for spanish student.We are also actively collaborating with the International Relations Office of the University of León, organizing all kind of activities (informal meetings, dinners, trips, language meetings...etc) for the exchange students of Erasmus and Amicus Program of University.Although AEGEE-León's workfield is local, we work in network with other local Antennae of AEGEE that belong to AEGEE-Europe. Our association is independent to this one, so we exclude AEGEE-León out of European NGO consideration.AEGEE­Europe encompasses more than 200 cities in 40 European and non European countries, becoming AEGEE the biggest interdisciplinary student association in Europe (www.aegee.org)
