The University of Murcia, founded in 1915, is the oldest public university of the Region of Murcia, holding nowadays over 160 titles and over 32.000 students. The Service of Attention to Diversity and Volunteering, whose accronym is ADyV, channels its social action focusing on the attention to groups at risk of social exclusion, to groups with fewer opportunities and the inclusion of students with disabilities. It is, to a large extent, the link of the institution with the reality of the society to which it belongs.

ADyV operates in the two main areas included in its name. The area of Attention to Diversity meets the needs of the students with disabilities or with specific educational needs while driving programs to promote equal opportunities. The Volunteering area manages the University Volunteering Program and carries projects in the field of solidarity and social action. They together also lead actions for the community health.
