XERACION VALENCIA is a non-profit youth cultural association created in Gandia (Valencia, Spain) in February 2014 by an enthusiastic group of youth who decided to quit their regular jobs in order to follow their dreams enjoying and loving
their lives every on a daily basis. Our objectives are:
a) To encourage and facilitate a national and international mobility of youth and youth/social workers (especially for groups with fewer opportunities).
b) To expand and improve social cooperation and volunteering projects with other associations both locally and internationally.
c) To empower youth in order to promote critical thinking for active citizenship, participatory democracy and entrepreneurship.
d) To enhance values of tolerance, human dignity, interculturality, solidarity, empathy, cooperation, social justice and social integration.
e) To promote a healthy and ecological lifestyle, and a sustainable development protecting the environment.

In order to achieve these objectives we develop and implement projects for youth and youth/social workers in order to improve their daily work and to enhance their European values. We also encourage and disseminate volunteering amongst the population of the Valencian region, especially between youth and people with fewer opportunities. During the last years we have been focusing on green entrepreneurship and environmental projects, seeking to promote sustainability and the protection of the Planet through green jobs and sustainable behaviours.

During the last years we have been focusing in environmental issues, including transformation of waste (with upcycling and Precious Plastic project) and bioconstruction. From 2014 we have developed and organised:

a) International projects including Erasmus+ Youth (KA1, KA2 and KA3), European Solidarity Corps, Internships and Erasmus for young Entrepreneurs.
b) Local activities to promote volunteering and create awareness on environmental issues.
c) Meetings for the exchange of good practices amongst our partners and other European associations.
d) Hosting, Sending and Coordinating association for EVS and ESC volunteers.
e) Environmental workshops for educational centres, companies, festivals and other events.

Our main local ESC volunteer projects are focusing on:
1. Environmental issues:
a. Precious Plastic machines which transform plastic waste into new and valuable objects.

2. Awareness and workshops
a. Workshops for children with less opportunities and youth from the region.
b. Awareness campaigns started by volunteers about any topic that they might consider relevant in the region.
c. Erasmus+ and other European programs campaigns, info sessions and workshops.

3. Non-formal management
a. Starting and managing a non-profit organisation.
b. Writing and delivering projects based on non-formal education.

Since 2018 we collaborate with the social services of Gandia and other local associations from our region which brings a very important social and solidarity plus to the project that will enrich both the volunteers who will create and carry out the activities, as well as the local volunteers and of course children and youth with fewer opportunities who will learn essential values in their growth while being aware of environmental issues that are so important for their future.
We organise workshops and exhibitions for schools, and other educational centers, municipalities, music and environmental festivals, private companies, events…and whoever is interested in the project.

This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
