Dejóvenes (Delegation of Youth of the city council of Leganés), services of general information related to the young people and specialized information with sexual, juridical, psychological advice, of voluntary service, of employment and give information on anyother subject related to the young people are given. One of the priorities in Dejóvenes is the promotion among its participants of the activities related to the European mobilityat the level of volunteering and employment. For this reason we have decided to bet on promoting the actions of the ESC program to encourage the
participation of young people. From Leganes we are strengthening international mobility participation in various exchanges and sending volunteers as well as offering support services for finding employmentabroad. We know that all this must be complemented with languages and Leganes offers language conversation workshops to develop language skills among young people in the municipality. Therefore, the support of the volunteers, who are living that experiencethat we precisely want encourage, we think it is extremely important to achieve theseachievements. It would provide a link between these areas and could offer many possibilities to young people and make them reach them directly, word of mouth, which we think is the best way to reach youth. Volunteers will participate indifferent activities and contexts of the city, such as youth centers of Dejóvenes, and Neighborhood Associations. There they will carry out the planned activities and learn how to carry them out in the company of the workers of the center in anon-formal way, and acquiring skills with experience. We seek the inclusion of young people who normally do not have access to this type of activity. We want to
integrate the volunteers within the Dejóvenes organizational chart and collaborate with us to promote the different aspects of mobility.
We think that the presence of volunteers can be a good experience to publicize the Volunteer program and promote relation ships between young people from different countries. In the long term, we would like participants in the activities to be motivated to participate in European projects of mobility and improve their language skills.
