The non profit organisation Études et Chantiers develops since 1962 social and professional inclusion actions, vocational trainings and european projects in France and abroad. Our beneficiaries are unemployed people, often facing social and professional issues, and young people. We implements team xork projects based on sharing lifelong learning and sustainable development.

The association is accredited as:
• Popular Education by the Ministry of Youth and Sports since 1979
• Environnement and Sustainable Development by the Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development since 1993
• Training orgaisation by Deparments of Work in both regions of Brittany and Pays de la Loire since 1995
• Organisation for inclusion through employment for inclusion projects and xorkcamps
• European Solidarity Corps organisation for hosting, sending and coordinating volunteering projects
• Civic Service organisation, hosting young people willing to commit themselves for a community project

Our organisation support the commitment of young people ans adults in the restoratio, equipment and protection of natural and built areas. We also implement actions of local development in rural areas. Working in rural and urban areas, our teams are led by a united pedagogy "to make together".
• Inclusion workcamps : 26 permanent workcamps spread on both regions Britanny and Pays de la Loire (350 persons hired every year and supervised by 80 permanent employees)
• Vocation trainnings : Professional qualification certificate “Skilled worker”, Professional qualification certificate “Low energy building techniques”, Professional accreditation “ Built heritage restoration”
• European teams of volunteers: implementation of European volunteer team each summer for a period of 2 months, working together, leaving together, and discovering our country to raise young people’s awareness.
• Research and development in the fields of natural building material, green energies, natural areas management, youth.
• Source of proposal to galvanize local communities by reinforcing development capabilities and entrepreneurship.

The strengths of Etudes et Chantiers are:
• A specific educational tool, the workcamp, used in different fields: environment, built heritage,culture, social work,…
• The experience to host various publics: from European volunteers to inclusion workers.
• Technical skills used in local and international projects.
• An expertise in project engineering recognised by our operational and financial collaborators and
networks.

Etudes et Chantiers gets together 15 Board members and employs 80 permanent staff members. We offer a chance to350 inclusion workers a year, 50 French and European volunteers, 20 vocational training trainees. Since 2012, we hosted several groups of european volunteers. They worked for the enhancement of the natural and built heritage. We intend to develop our host activities with ESC team projects gathering youth from all Europe.
