At the beginning of '900 it were instituted a public dormitory and a soup kitchen. In 1950 the house was entrusted to the administration of the Municipal Assistance. Then it was largely restored and since then Pia Casa Industria started to deal with elderly and disabled people: as a consequence, the structure increased its specialization in the field of care, treatment, geriatric rehabilitation and, at the same time, the configuration of a multi-service structure. It is located in the oldest part of Brescia, near the monumental complex of Santa Giulia and the Roman excavations. Each part of the house is connected, with covered walkways without architectural barriers and facilitated by signage and handrails. The vertical connections are facilitated by elevators montalettiga.
