Beskrivelse af organisationen

The social Cooperative Onlus Tempo per l’Infanzia is a well-established in its activities and recognized in the territory reality. It operates in the field of children education and social inclusion, supporting also their families and local communities. It manages for the municipality of Milan:

-the Day Centre (CDM) Tempo per l’Infanzia, a semi-residential service aimed at adolescents (11-18 years old) sent by social services from zones 2 and 3 of Milan; The center is currently hosting 30 youngsters. Some are present 5 days a week, while others attend 3 or 4 days each week. On average, we have 20 to 24 youngsters a day.

- the Youth Centre (CAG) Tempo per il Barrio, aimed at preteens, teens and young adults (11-22 years old), for spontaneous access by the local community, where youngsters can carry out educational and recreational activities during the afternoons and school-holidays; The youth club is an open, free, inclusive space, where every individual matters. Everyone is welcome; regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity, social background.

- the Art Educational Center Spazio ArtEducazione (11-17 years old) which focuses on education through artistic expression, combined with other psycho-pedagogical tools.

Besides that, the cooperative deals with the design and implementation of social and educational services for schools and the territory (in italian: Assistenza Educativa Scolastica), of interventions in favor of social cohesion and in the environmental field, of training for social workers and teachers. In particular, with regard to its experience in projects of youth aggregation, Tempo per l’Infanzia in recent years has developed and implemented local projects aimed at social cohesion. Projects in this area are usually developed in a network with other cooperatives, associations, organizations and institutions, which, through cultural events, moments of aggregation, training courses, local animations and active citizenship practices, intend to promote social cohesion processes. The staff is composed of professional educators, psychologists, sociologists and people with proven experience who will work with ESC volunteers by placing them in the educational team of the projects and supporting them on a daily basis.
