The EVEA Youth Commission, part of the non-profit organization "Europäische Vereinigung für Eifel und Ardennen (EVEA),
headquartered in Luxembourg, is an international consortium of association structures from Luxembourg, Germany,
Belgium, and France, pursuing common goals and interests. Since the mid-1950s, the EVEA has been a platform for
thousands of citizens from our region. The Eifel and Ardennes regions transcend arbitrarily drawn national borders. This
belief is echoed annually at the EVEA's congresses in Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg (and France until 1998), and is
bolstered through programs focusing on youth and sports meetings, environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and
tourism promotion.
We aim to prepare young people from the four countries of our region (Belgium, Germany, France, and Luxembourg) and
adjacent areas for their future professional and adult lives within the European Community. Our objectives include providing
insights into the economic, social, and cultural life of neighboring countries; fostering connections and friendly relations
between young individuals and youth organizations, enhancing cooperation; and exchanging ideas to nurture a sense of
European identity and belonging. Our youth work further encompasses organizing European youth encounters, enabling
young people to discover and experience Europe, fostering better understanding through language learning and encounters,
and promoting cross-border cooperation in our region.
