Opis organizacije

Wir sind seit 25 Jahren anerkannte Weiterbildungseinrichtung, die mit benachteiligten Menschen, vor allem Jugendlichen, arbeitet. Die Jugendlichen haben Möglichkeiten, hier vor Ort unterstützte Ausbildungen zu absolvieren mit Unterstützung der Sozialpädagogen. In den Jahren 1999-2013 haben wir auch sehr erfolgreich und aktiv internationale Jugendarbeit betrieben,diese wurde jedoch aufgrund fehlender Kollegen eingestellt. Ab 2013 arbeiten wir auch im Bereich geflüchtete Menschen und Migration und haben unsere Willkommenslotsen direkt vor Ort. Ab Februar sind bei uns wieder zwei Mitarbeiter, die mit dem Thema Internationale Jugendprojekte beauftragt sind, mit vielfältigen Qualifikationen tätig, sodass wir mit vielElan und Engagement die Jugendprojekte wieder aufnehmen möchten. englisch: We are an institution for education, trainings and development with 150 colleagues and co-workers in different branches. UBV exists since 27 years and is active in the area in and around Schwedt. Schwedt is located in the Upper Oder Valley, UNESCO nature heritage, 4 km from the polish border and 90 km to Berlin. First of all we have our main house: * upstairs is a community of 20 teenager, who are living here for a period of time, attending school and getting prepared for their jobs. Due to several social problems they cannot stay in their families and will be guided and supported from our social worker. We have 12 different classes in the main house: * young people, who suffer on multiple disabilities and cannot reach an exam at school or start a vocational training: they have special trainers and staff who cares only about them and supports them to reach their targets * young single moms who are going to start their joblife * supported vocational training in service, cooking and sales * combined vocational training with our partner-companies in wood, metal and electric jobs * german lessons for traumatized refugees * language training for teens and adults in english, french, polish, spanish and russian * application and preparing for job-interviews aswell as motivation-coaching and supervising * office to prepare und Büroräume zur Vorbereitung von Unterrichtsmaterialien, Planung und Organisation * canteen with about 300 visitors daily, breakfast and supper, prepared from young apprentees with their trainer and social worker Youth-Club * we run twi youth-club, that are regularly visited by around 30 young people (in a village) and 150 young people (in the center of Schwedt). Common activities are done, help in school homework, games, talks, events a.s.o.- international teenagers are joining aswell (from Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan…) kindergarden/nursery * UBV runs two kindergarden and nursery, where young people who are interested in working in childscare in future, can find a lot of different jobs to do old wooden, slavic boat * two years ago UBV bought an old sailing-boat with engine, restaurated it and uses it now on weekends for events, theatre and trips school garden of knowledge: * a natural garden with herbs, flowers, plants which is public and often used by groups of seniors, kindergarden and has a lot of potential to design and agricult garden and landscape Ökohof Crussow: * a farmhouse, where a group of young boys is living for a limited period of time and learns how to survive in the countryside: harvest, making juice, breeding poultry and cattle, making honey, a small shop with homemade food from the farm is included aswell planned projects with young people: * modernizing and renovating appartments for refugee families * install a small adventure-park for children * regular partnership and meetings Partnerschaftstreffen with polish groups * organise international sport events * install public bookshelfs and a for-free-store * manage and organize „walls of education“ with photoes, scenes and information about life in other countries and history-related themes Our staff, who is trained to work in the social-work, streetwork, open youth-work and working with disabled teenager since a long time guarantees the best care as possible. They can speak 6 languages and can care 24 hours about the exchangers. If someone needs a special care, he/she can live with one of our staff aswell. We are looking very forward for a common work in future. Until 2011 we had had a very good partnership with YIA and other international projects for almost 10 years.
