Organizacijos aprašas

Our school is a state primary school which is located in the village Kowala near Kielce. It has 120 students aged from seven to fifteen; we have also got a kindergarten with 63 pupils aged from three to six. Some students are disabled and some of them are with special needs. There are 43 teachers (some of them working part-time and some of them are teacher assistants). The school has got a big gym, a canteen and well-equipped classrooms. The students can join various extra lessons, such as: a drama club, chess club, sport club. As the school has got really nice outdoor sports field and outdoor gym, children have a lot of lessons outside. Our students can have judo lessons twice a week and swimming lessons once a week. We try to involved disabled students in all the activities.
A lot of various activities connected with cultural heritage, taking care of environment and healthy lifestyle are done every year by our students. Both kindergarten pupils and primary school students are involved in the activities. Children learn about cultural heritage, environment, meet interesting people who deal with such problems, go on school trips to different places, take parts in competitions. Students have various lessons to make them more active and take education outside: to the swimming pool, to the forest, local tourist attractions etc. Children also learn how to lead a healthy lifestyle by a proper diet. They can drink milk 3 times a week and get some fruit and vegetables at school. Our school cooperates with various local organisations: a folk group, fire brigade, voluntary centre.
We also have experience with international cooperation, we participated in 4 Comenius/Erasmus+ projects. Our teachers have a lot of experience in international projects (eTwinning, Comenius, Erasmus+), they also run various national and local actions connected with cultural heritage, healthy lifestyle, sports etc
