Beskrivning av organisationen

Our school with 60 years of tradition is a boarding school in a small city Police in the north- west of Poland near the border with Germany. We work with physically and mentally disabled children at the age of 6 to 23 from all over Poland. We work at every level of education and there are over 200 students ( with muscular atrophy, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, autism, ADHD, myelomeningocele) and all of them require additional support for learning needs in domains of motor activities, physical and mental development.
We offer professional education from the kinder school to the post- secondary school as well as professional therapy and rehabilitation.
We are the place where our students can learn, rehabilitate and become independent.
Through different projects and after school activities we try to integrate our students in social, cultural and civil life; facilitate their inclusion in social life and employment market. We provide professional courses for our students in the field of photography, tailoring, cookery and hotel service.
We organise a lot of sport, dancing, cookery and theatre events to ensure that each of our students can find the area he/she is good at.
There is variety space for EVS volunteers to actively engage in the above mention activities which will bring benefits for increasing their personal and interpersonal skills as well as contributing on the development and rehabilitation of people with disabilities. EVS volunteers will contribute on social, entrainment and rehabilitation activities, they will be involved on awareness activities on disability and human rights and cultural development. Furthermore, EVS volunteers will have space to bring out their ideas and concrete actions or projects to implement with our students, to promote Erasmus among them and include variety of social and educational activities on the regard of their capabilities
