Bampabura School z.s. is transformed NGO from original Cultura Africa (funded in February 2005). Bampabura School (B.Sch.) is a Czech based non-profit organisation funded by highly experienced and energetic individuals taking collaborative initiative across sectors to provide children and young people sustainable, and high quality projects that support their intercultural and linguistic competencies. The “engine” of Bampabura School and its main strength are 5 committed individuals, creative, well-educated and richly experienced in the sphere of project management and implementation experts, all involved at different levels of our project working mainly on voluntary basis. Liběna Kobuyambi Mwesigwová, the chairperson of the association, even though working for the organization on voluntary basis, spends 20 hours on administration work in the organization (promoting organization activities, administrating email communications and phone calls, fund raising and developing new ideas). She then spends another 10-15 hours a week lecturing B.Sch. regular and occasional activities. Other committed members of the association are mainly external lecturers who take up regular and occasional B.Sch. activities and are involved 3-5 hours a week. Bampabura School plays an active role in improving the situation of children and youth by introducing innovative models in non-formal education. The objectives of Bampabura School are: 1. bring together people (professionals and non-professionals) who are willing to actively join organization activities 2. organize educational, cultural, sports and relaxing activities for children and young people 3. create better conditions of children and youth in non-formal education, sports and cultural activities and social integration 4. realize projects that solve problems and obstacles of children and young people with fewer opportunities 5. Cooperation with other institutions, stakeholders and foundations and helps (through charity activities) developing initiatives to network more institutions into creating educational, cultural and relaxing activities. Currently, B.Sch. shares and uses premises of Spolek ŽIVO. The deal of sharing and using premises is based on an agreement between both associations and can be given evidence in writen form. The premises are located in a reconstructed old farm house in Pzeň, Božkov (with lovely and countryside feeling neighbourhood) where Spolek ŽIVO runs 2 playgroups (initiated and founded by Liběna Kobuyambi Mwesigwová, chairperson of B.Sch.) and B.Sch. runs its activities in one separate "classroom" and supports playgroups.
