MATERAHUB is a consortium of Cultural & Creative Enterprises with 10 years of experience in capacity building actions for Creative and Cultural sectors, cross - collaboration and the building of Creative Innovation Ecosystems, supporting businesses, startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, institutions and organisations, local communities through transnational projects. Our goal is to foster sustainable local development through the valorisation of creative people & cultural local heritage, to create new entrepreneurial projects of social utility by combining expertise and visions and to foster networking opportunities among people and organisations, making use of participatory, collaborative creative and inclusive strategies.

MATERAHUB is very active in EU funding and it is a window on Europe for institutions, schools, associations and for all the citizens of Matera and Basilicata. It actively promotes the public debate and the interest on the European Union, offering guidance and assistance to the whole community on programs, opportunities for financing and EU actions, as well as improving information, adapting it to local and regional situations.
Until April 2021, MATERAHUB has been Europe Direct Information Center, working for EC to promote its work on the local level. Now the EU dimension of the work is promoted by tailored initiatives called “Piazza Europa” and “Promoting Europe” made to promote EU funded initiatives and their impact on local communities.
