The Foundation El legado andalusí is a Public Foundation of the Andalusian Regional Government (SPAIN). With King Philip VI of Spain as Honorary President, the Foundation has the support of UNESCO and the European Council, among other public and private institutions.

Objectives:
- Promote cultural and rural tourism, traditional crafts.
- Creation of a network of Cultural Routes that promote cooperation and participation in local development that it is extended to more than 2,600 kilometers and more than 280 locations at transnational level.
- Development and promotion of tourism in Andalusia in line with the growth trend of alternative tourism (culture and nature) as a complement to the traditional tourist offer.

ROUTES OF EL LEGADO ANDALUSI
The Routes of El legado andalusí represent the largest offer of cultural tourism in Andalusia today. Through an extensive itinerary that includes more than 200 localities, they connect the main capitals of Andalusia, giving a great impulse to the cultural and rural tourism, the traditional arts and the conservation and protection of the monumental and artistic patrimony. These routes were recognised as "European Cultural Route" by the Council of Europe in 1997.

CULTURAL ITINERARIES
Through the establishment of Cultural Itineraries, El legado andalusí has built a privileged framework for the exchange of experiences that offers new development possibilities for cultural tourism.

EXHIBITIONS
El legado andalus´8i has organised more than 150 thematic exhibitions that show the splendour of al-Andalus culture. More than 4,750,000 people have visited the exhibitions, which have been the largest movement of museum pieces ever made in Spain. Also in different countries: France (Arab World Institute, Paris), Belgium (European Parliament, Brussels), Germany, Morocco (Royal Palace, Marrakech), Mauritania, Algeria, Egypt, Syria,
Qatar, Mexico, Colombia, Japan or the United States. (United Nations Building, NY). Also important is the collaboration with more than 70 national and international museums, among other institutions.

PUBLICATIONS
El legado andalusí carries out important editorial work, has published more than 80 books in various collections on themes, tourism, monographs, exhibitions and periodicals, and has been translated into numerous languages, such as French, English, German, Japanese and Arabic.


La Fundación El legado andalusí es una fundación pública del Gobierno Regional Andaluz (ESPAÑA). Teniendo al Rey Felipe VI de España como Presidente Honorario, la fundación cuenta con el apoyo de la UNESCO y del Consejo Europeo, entre otras instituciones públicas y privadas.
Objetivos:
- Promover el turismo cultural y rural, la artesanía tradicional.
- Creación de una red de Rutas Culturales que promuevan la cooperación y participación en desarrollo local que se extienden a más de 2.600 kilómetros y más de 280 localizaciones a nivel transnacional.
- Desarrollo y promoción del turismo en Andalucía en línea con la corriente de crecimiento de turismo alternativo (cultura y naturaleza) como complemento a la oferta turística tradicional.
RUTAS DE EL LEGADO ANDALUSI
Las Rutas de El legado andalusí representan la mayor oferta de turismo cultural existente en la actualidad en Andalucía. A través de un extenso itinerario que incluye más de 200 localidades, conectan las principales capitales de Andalucía, dando un gran impulso al turismo cultural y rural, las artes tradicionales y la conservación y protección del patrimonio monumental y artístico. Estas Rutas fueron nombradas "Itinerario Cultural Europeo" en 1997.
ITINERARIOS CULTURALES
A través del establecimiento de Itinerarios Culturales, El legado andalusí ha construido un marco privilegiado para el intercambio de experiencias que ofrecen nuevas posibilidades de desarrollo para el turismo cultural.
EXPOSICIONES
El legado andalusí ha organizado más de 150 exposiciones temáticas que muestran el esplendor de la cultura de al-Andalus. Más de 4.750.000 personas han visitado las exposiciones, que han implicado el mayor movimiento de piezas de museo jamás realizado en España. También en diferentes países: Francia (Instituto del Mundo Árabe, París), Bélgica (Parlamento Europeo, Bruselas), Alemania, Marruecos (Palacio Real, Marraquech), Mauritania, Argelia, Egipto, Siria,
Qatar, México, Colombia, Japón o Estados Unidos. (Edificio de las Naciones Unidas, NY). También es importante la colaboración con más de 70 museos nacionales e internacionales, entre otras instituciones.
PUBLICACIONES
El legado andalusí realiza un importante trabajo editorial, ha publicado más de 80 libros en varias colecciones sobre temas, turismo, monografías, exposiciones y publicaciones periódicas, y ha sido traducido a numerosos idiomas, como francés, inglés, alemán, japonés o árabe.
