Centrum dobrovoľníctva, n.o. is non- governmental organisation with more than 15 years experience in volunteer development in Slovakia. It is situated in the Central Slovakia, Banská Bystrica and operates in the region. The mission of the CD NO is to develop the potential of people and improve the quality of their life through volunteering. Main goals of the center are: Stimulation of the interest of people and organizations in volunteering; Increasing credibility of volunteering in the society; Improving of volunteer management in the volunteer organisations; Creating volunteer opportunities. Our main activities include: Volunteer service; Promotion of volunteering; Education and supervision of volunteers and volunteer organizations; Research on volunteering and youth; Implementation of own programs and projects; Transmission and recruitment of volunteers and volunteers to/ from abroad; Collaboration with local, national and international organizations in the field of volunteering; Annual gala to award volunteers "Heart on Sleeve". Our office is situated at the local University what enables direct connection with students and teachers. We partner in several projects and activities.
