Eskişehir Governorship is a local public administrative organization authorized to monitor, coordinate, and cooperate all the non-profit private business concerns, organizations and institutions including provincial directorate of education, youth and sports, forestry and water affairs, culture and tourism, local health, environment, public security and civil society organizations and etc. European and Foreign Relations and Project Coordination Office in our organization is responsible for all projects planned and implemented in these directorates. We cooperate with local and international organisations to conduct Erasmus Plus and other programmes.
Our activity areas:
• To assist and guide public institutions, NGOs, district governors, universities, vocational institutions, development agencies who are volunteering to conduct projects and provide regional cooperation so as to benefit from European and national funds which foster the social and financial development; to coordinate, promote and share the projects of the European Union being implemented; to resolve the problems and inform the upper authorities about the problems that cannot be solved at the provincial level.
• To conduct dissemination activities about European Union full membership process and European programmes to create awareness more effectively.
• To provide coordination between project teams in public institutions, universities and municipalities.
• To organise training and workshops about planning and management procedures of projects.
• To share the existing knowledge and experience with other organizations enthusiastic to work on projects and introduce all the favourable programs announced by EU. The governorship provides projects technical and administrative assistance to these institutions and organizations, helps them to find partners for the projects and participate jointly in existing projects.
• To develop measures and to establish the administrative and human resources capacity necessary for the project processes and to ensure continuity in the services. The current officials in public institutions and organizations are utilized firstly. In case of need, central personnel and equipment support can be given through the assignment of other public institutions and organizations. In addition, volunteer staff from civil society organizations can recruited when necessary.
• To manage the relationships and secure the corporation between the private business concerns, organizations or institutions and EU ministry, EU Commission, international organizations during the implementation processes of the programs.
• To support the institutions and organizations for dissemination activities of the accepted projects.
• To build capacity and development in the main and affiliated units of the governorship, in line with the European Union acquis and national development plans.
• To establish the database of European Union projects.
• To conduct literature reviews on all international and national funding sources; to get information about grant support through official correspondence; to make presentations about all the funds that our country can benefit from; to share on the website, update the content, and make the website a reference point for those interested.
• To establish bureaus in the district sub-provincial governorships, relevant public institutions and organizations to operate in European Union issues, and to be in contact with these bureaus.
• To carry out introductory programs in the written and visual media to create public opinion about the projects and studies carried out on the European Union issues.
• To cooperate with the Ministry of European Union and units in addition to the European Union Center for Education and Youth Programs in order to ensure that European Union calls and other education, promotion and dissemination activities take place in our city. It sends personnel on behalf of the institution to national or international meetings, workshops, fairs, seminars and study visits for this cooperation.
