Yusuf Youth Initiative (YYI) is a dynamic organisation nurturing leaders of tomorrow and strengthening communities. We provide enriching programmes that encourage young people to grow, strive and become change makers in a changing and vibrant society. There are 5 key projects within YYI:
1. YYI youth clubs. Supporting young people aged 5-16 years old. Mission to educate, inspire and empower young people through fun and engaging activities, so as to enhance personal development, growth and quality of life. The weekly youth development programme incorporates a variety of projects such as health & wellbeing, sports, arts and crafts, campaigns, organising events, camping trips and more.
2. Taught By Muhammad. An outreach project aimed at building an understanding between Muslims and the wider community, working across Dundee with a particular focus on regeneration areas. Areas of work include youth integration, anti-poverty, community empowerment and volunteering opportunities. this project is running support cafes daily Monday to Friday, a foodbank, presentations and curry kitchens for the homeless.
3. ChangeMakers. An employability project aimed at supporting young minority ethnic people in Tayside. Engaging with hard-to-reach young people aged 16-24 years old. Providing online and one to one support, events, volunteering, placements and workshops.
4. Engage. Supporting ethnic minority adults into sport, workshops, educational classes, volunteering and giving benefits advice and support.
5. Future Leaders Academy. A faith based educational academy aiming to provide Islamic education within the context of modern day Scotland, to equip young people with the necessary knowledge of their faith. The classes are conducted within a modern classroom setting and include a youth club as well as sports sessions. The project provides a broad and balanced education applicable to British Muslims, to support children in becoming well-rounded, confident individuals with a strong and positive Islamic identity.

This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
